When was the first blue LEGO baseplate released?

The 700E Individual 10 x 20 Baseplate was the first blue LEGO baseplate released sometime around 1953-1954. It was a 10 dot x 20 dot (8cm x 16cm or 3.2” x 6.4”) baseplate released as part of the LEGO Mursten range which also included red, green, light grey, white and yellow baseplates of the same size.

What is the smallest blue LEGO baseplate?

The smallest blue LEGO baseplate is technically a DUPLO block: LEGO 5028 DUPLO Primo Plate 4×4 Blue which is 4 dots x 4 dots (6.4cm x 6.4cm or 2.5” x 2.5”). If we take DUPLO out of the equation, the smallest blue LEGO baseplate is any of the 10 dot x 20 dot baseplates which measure 8cm x 16cm or 3.2” x 6.4”.
